Newest Bears Take Positive Steps
The rookies then scattered across the country, heading home following their first taste of the NFL. Draft picks, undrafted free agents and possibly even a few of the tryout players will return to Lake Forest May 20 when the Bears begin organized team activity (OTA) workouts.

Northwestern Pair Chase NFL Dream
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Teammates at Northwestern the past four seasons, quarterback C.J. Bacher and receiver Eric Peterman are chasing their NFL dream together just up the road from Evanston.
The two former Wildcats are participating in this weekend’s Bears rookie minicamp at Halas Hall, Peterman as an undrafted free agent and Bacher on a tryout basis.

Gilbert Displays Quickness
LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Even without pads, Bears third-round draft pick Jarron Gilbert looked the part while participating in his first NFL practice Friday afternoon at Halas Hall.
The 6-5, 288-pound defensive lineman from San Jose State displayed quickness and athleticism in individual drills as the Bears opened their rookie minicamp with the first of three non-contact workouts.
